About Ad Astra & Our Team

Ad Astra is an independent film production & financing company: An extension for our love of cinema and bold stories being told from unique point of view

New filmmakers often lack the finances and resources needed to successfully produce their feature films. They frequently rely on grants and personal finances for funding, which can be unpredictable and limiting. The best filmmakers might have an amazing project that would be very succesful commercially but are inexperienced in fundraising, thus limiting their potential.

That’s where we come in. For filmmakers, we provide an attractive opportunity by offering a new source of capital while maintaining their creative freedom allowing them the chance to successfully launch their careers.

By bridging the gap between filmmakers and distributors, we aim to create a system that benefits both, helping filmmakers secure funding and visibility while providing distributors with ‘market tested’, high potential projects.

After generations of seeing investing in young filmakers as charity we believe there is a way to make the space truly investible by creating an investment structure that allows us to benefit from the growth of a filmakers career.
